Silent eco friendly garbage collection is coming to Odense

Five new refuse collection vehicles are ready to run in Odense, Denmark, with Banke E-PTOs powering NTM – Närpes Trä & Metall bodies. This solution is much better for our environment and CO2 consumption. 

This is a smart way to electrify refuse collection already now. While we are waiting for mass production of full-electric trucks for refuse collection, the electric power-take-off is the sensible solution for noise reduction and lowering emissions. The technology is mature, and it is an effective first step to full electrification, helping getting charging infrastructure in place, and harvesting experience for city and operators, while making life a lot more pleasant for citizens near the vehicles.
